- Shake & Fluff (Every 2–3 Weeks): Shake the rug and fluff the fibers.
- Spot Cleaning (For Spills): Immediate Action
- Blot (don’t rub) with a clean cloth.
- Mix mild detergent + lukewarm water.
- Dab gently and blot dry.
- Let it air dry completely.
- Do NOT soak the rug.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.
- Air & Sun Care: Avoid prolonged direct sunlight (can fade color).
- Rotate the Rug (Every 3–6 Months): Rotate 180° to prevent uneven wear, especially in living rooms.
- Deep Cleaning (Every 6–12 Months): Professional cleaning recommended.
- If washing at home: Use mild shampoo.
- Dry completely before placing back.
- Damp shag rugs can develop mold or odor.
