Where Our Journey Began
Rooted in Indian Values
Meet our founder
Behind every enduring enterprise stands a visionary — and behind Mangal Exports stands Hemant Kumar Gupta. Born in Tonk, a town rich in traditional craftsmanship, he discovered his passion for rug weaving at a young age. What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong purpose, shaped by the artisans and looms that surrounded him. With a belief in quality, fairness, and timeless craftsmanship, he laid the foundation of Mangal Exports and built a brand rooted in trust and tradition. Hemant Kumar Gupta’s journey is woven into the cultural fabric of Tonk, a region celebrated for its heritage of handcrafted arts. Growing up among skilled artisans, he learned early on that craftsmanship is not just a profession — it is a legacy passed down through generations. His first steps into the industry began with trading threads among local weavers, an experience that gave him a rare understanding of both artisan dedication and market needs.
In his early twenties, driven by ambition and a deep respect for traditional weaving, he founded Mangal Exports with just a handful of artisans. From a small town with limited resources, he nurtured relationships built on honesty, fairness, and shared success — values that still define the brand today.
Over the years, that humble beginning has grown into a thriving enterprise supported by more than 100 skilled artisans across Rajasthan. For Mr. Gupta, these artisans are not workers — they are partners in progress, each contributing their skill to a shared vision. Mangal Exports is not only his story, but the story of countless Indian craftspeople whose talents now reach homes across the world. Under his leadership, the company continues to honor traditional techniques, empower artisan communities, and bring authentic Indian craftsmanship to global markets.
At Mangal Exports, growth is meaningful only when it is collective.
